3 Simple Tips to Better Public Speaking
For most people, having to stand in front of an audience is daunting, let alone having to make a presentation or a speech. Most experienced public speakers will tell you that they are not born experts – they have had to employ certain techniques. American president Barrack Obama, one of the most riveting orators of our time, has to speak almost every day about different topics and almost each time to a different audience. Even for someone with natural ability, this can be a huge task.
To improve your ability to deliver a presentation or make a speech, there are 3 simple tips that you need to know:
1. Master your content
It is always much easier to speak about a subject that you are familiar with. Learn your content and do associated research. Ensure that once you stand up to deliver your presentation, your mind is not scrambling around looking for facts and information about the topic.
2. Master your audience
Audiences differ depending on many factors - from profession to profession, depending on age, level of education etc. Have a good idea of who your audience is. As much as possible, find out in advance their level of education, profession, age, and most importantly what their expectations from your presentations are.
3. Practice, practice, practice
Once you master your content and have a fair idea of who your audience is, practice your presentation. Imagine yourself in the room, picture your audience in your mind and then mentally go through your “performance”. If you need to do it, stand in front of a mirror and do a rehearsal. If you can get a family member or a friend to watch you and give you feedback, you will not only be able to polish up your presentation, but you will get more and more confident as you get more familiar with your content and style.
With these 3 tips, you are on your way to making a better public speaker who is confident and knowledgeable and can talk to diverse audiences. As with every other skill, you get better at it the more you do it, so step up and use these 3 tips to improve every time.

3 Time Management Tips you can Implement Now
If you are like most of us, you are constantly wondering how time went so fast, how the day ended and you were hardly started. Leonardo Da Vinci, the master artist, once said “Time stays long enough for anyone who will use it.” How many times do you find yourself with as long a to - do list at the end of the day as you started with in the morning, and yet you have been busy all day?
Time management is closely related to attainment of goals – in fact, goals are sometimes defined as dreams with timelines. Goals can be either short or long term, so how you use your time determines how well you achieve them.
Here, I will share with you 3 simple tips you can use to better manage your time. By applying these tips, you will be able to get through your to-do lists more efficiently and therefore get to your long term goals faster.
1. Know where you are Losing Time
To know how to better manage your time, it’s imperative that you know where you are losing it. Map out your daily activities. Where do you lose the most time? It may be in your commute, your meetings, your meal options or even just socializing. If there is an activity you can cut back on without compromising on quality, do it. Use the time that you have freed up to do something that you enjoy and that contributes directly to your goals e.g. have a shorter lunch break and focus on sending out applications for your dream job or build on a specific skill.
2. Prioritize Tasks
Sometimes, in the rush of things, we realize that we have spent more time on things that are urgent at the cost of things that are important. Learn how to tell apart the urgent from the important. Most of the things you have to do are urgent but how many are important? Ideally, you should spend more and more time focusing on important issues as compared to urgent issues.
3. Delegate when you can
It is human nature to feel that if we do something ourselves, we have done it better or faster. This may or may not be true, but people who are the most efficient in using their time have also learnt to let go and delegate. Can you let someone else make breakfast while you learn a new language for your next job? Delegating not only frees up time, but allows those you delegate to build their skills and eventually, you can rely on them more and more.
Managing your time well is a process; you cannot master it in one day, but with these 3 tips to guide you, you are well on your way!

3 Proven Remedies for the Common Cold
The average human being contracts at least 2 or 3 colds in a year. A cold can leave you feeling tired, sick and lethargic to say the least. The symptoms are even worse in infants and babies.
Hundreds of remedies have been recommended for it, but they do not work for most people. The common cold is a viral infection, and as with most viral infection is hard to treat. Drugs usually counter the resulting symptoms e.g. sore throats and congestion, but there is no known cure. The best you can do is work on relieving the symptoms.
There are several home remedies that you can make in your kitchen which will help build your immunity to colds, or fight the symptoms.
1. Garlic
This is an old remedy, and other than relieving the painful symptoms of a common cold, it is very effective in overall health if taken regularly. The oil contained in the cloves helps open up respiratory airways. The best way to take it is in the form of garlic soup – boil 3 or 4 medium cloves in one cup of water, and add a slice of onion. You can add a drop of honey to sweeten the mixture, and sip on it slowly while it is still hot.
2. Ginger
Fresh ginger is another effective home remedy for common colds. Just chop up about 15 grams, boil in 1 cup of water and add some honey to taste. Drink it while it is hot. It clears up the airways and relieves coughs. You can also make ginger tea, which is prepared by boiling the same amount of ginger in water and adding some green tea and honey. If you take this remedy at least two or 3 times a day, you will notice some relief in your symptoms.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
This is an excellent tonic for the common cold – in fact, if taken regularly it eases many respiratory symptoms. Mix it with water in equal parts, and add honey to taste. You can inhale the fumes or sip the concoction. Used regularly, you will notice that you do not get colds as often and also that if you get them, they are not as severe.
Since common colds are that “common”, you may find that you spend a lot of money on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications when you could easily have made excellent remedies at home. These 3 remedies are guaranteed to help you feel better, and they are great for overall health as well!

How to Potty-Train Your Child – 2 Quick Methods
Your toddler is ready to ditch the diapers and start going “potty” all by himself, but you have no idea where to start. For many people who have not had to deal with it, this may not seem like a big deal. But it can be, especially when despite your efforts to train him, your toddler repeatedly soils himself. Toddlers are “new”, are learning all the time and discovering their environment and themselves, and learning to go potty may turn out to be a challenge for them too.
To get you started, here are 2 tips:
1. Switch from diapers to pants
To help your toddler make the mental switch that he should now start using the toilet like the rest of the family, whenever you can, dress him in panties as opposed to diapers. Gently talk to him about it – that he is now wearing panties because he is a “big” boy and can go potty all by himself. Explain to him that if he needs to go, he should let you know and you can help him take the panties off and hold him over the potty. In the initial days, always be there to help him along, as he may get frustrated when he cannot get the panties off by himself.
2. Holding your toddler over the potty
The other thing you can do to help your toddler, is hold him over the potty each time he has a motion. You have already switched him from diapers to panties, and when he feels like going potty, he may let you know. Take off the panties for him and hold him over the potty until he is done. As you do this, make sure to explain to him what you are doing and why it is important – remember children learn a lot from the explanations we give them, so this, coupled with holding him over the potty, will help him get the hang of it soon enough.
Many parents struggle with this aspect of bringing up a child, but keep in mind that all children are different and learn at different paces. With the above 2 tips, one child may learn to go potty by themselves within a week but it may take another a year, even within the same family. The important thing to do is make sure you do not put undue pressure, even when you feel you are losing patience. Remember, at some point, he will definitely get the art; you just need to keep holding his hand as he masters the skill.

How Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) Can Help Your Website Rank Higher In Google
Latent semantic indexing is a concept that is used by search engines to optimize searches. It may sound complicated, but all it does is refer to the index of stored documents and find similar key words to those that have been entered in the search. If a website had been LSI’d it will come at the top of the Google search, and thus the website will have a higher chance of getting a hit – the more the hits the higher the traffic to the site, which of course is the main aim of every web designer.
LSI is critical to understand and implement, especially if you are in the internet marketing business. Let me give you an example: you design payroll software that you wish to market using the internet. You build a website and place the software on this website where visitors can purchase directly. Now, imagine you are the end client - you know that you have to buy payroll software but have no idea where to begin.
The most likely thing you will do is key in the words “payroll software” into Google, and you will get a list of websites that offer this software.
A good web designer will use LSI so that if the words payroll, payroll software, and any other key words that may be related to payroll software are keyed in, then Google will return them at the top of the search and they will have a higher chance of being visited.
The market is what it is; if you have a good product that comes up first on Google, chances are that people will buy it without bothering to shop around too much.
In a nutshell, LSI is currently the best technique used by web designers within search engines to enable users find their websites as fast as possible. When you are designing your website, even as you read and try to keep up with what all the internet marketing gurus are doing to drive traffic, do not forget this key design element – it helps you stand out in a very crowded market place.

How to Improve Your Memory in One Day
The average human person will forget quite a few things – things they need to do, things or faces they have seen or been told before or even more important things, like that overdue bill that totally slips your mind.
The most frustrating are the day to day things, because once they are out of your mind and do not get done on time, they can cause great inconvenience.
Ever wonder how some people are so good at remembering everything? Well, here are some tips that will get you started on having a better memory.
1. Sleep better, sleep more
A tired mind has a hard time remembering things. You must get your mind to relax at some point in the day, and the best way to do this is to get a good night’s sleep. Ensure that you sleep early enough, and get good quality sleep. Work on your sleeping environment so that it’s quiet and peaceful. When you lay down to sleep, let go and tell your mind its time to rest. You will notice how much more refreshed you will feel in the morning, and will remember things much more easily!
2. Don’t Trust your memory so much
Get into the habit of writing things down. Whether you are a CEO or a stay-at-home mom, there are those things that will always slip. Get a notebook and write them down. Date them, highlight them, do whatever you can to make sure they stand out. With modern technology, most mobile phones come with a reminder facility that even has an alarm – use it. You will realize that you will be much more relaxed without the stress of worrying whether you forgot to do something.
3. Get Rid of Clutter
Make it a habit to get rid of clutter before you leave a room, an issue or even a person. Clutter muddles things up, and later, you can never be sure whether it was this that was meant or the other. Notice how much easier it usually is to navigate around a tidy room than a cluttered one? How easy it is to see things, remember to get them done? It is as well for a room, a desk as for your mind. Arrange things, get rid of what you don’t need and you will notice that it will be a lot easier to remember things.
You may be wondering if there is anything you can take to improve your memory? There are many drugs available now, but your best bet is fish oil – yes, cod liver oil. It contains Omega 3 fatty acids that are great for improving memory. Eat fish rich in oil, or even buy over-the-counter supplements – most pharmacies stock them. It’s a great memory and concentration aid for children as well.
Remember, it’s human to forget, but using the above tips will go a long way in helping you forget less and less everyday.

How to Format Your Hard Drive
You may want to format your hard drive for several reasons - to get rid of sensitive data, install a new operating system, clean up viruses or trojans or even just to get rid of old data. Some people do it because they want to sell. The most important thing to remember as you think about formatting is that it's not always necessary to do so - it is actually a last resort. Many PC repairers and users think that this is the quickest option to get rid of a problem on your PC, but it is always recommended that you try other ways to get rid of the problem before you format - unless of course you want to get rid of the data completely.
So let's assume you have decided that the only way out is to get your hard drive formatted. What is the best way to do it? Well, here's a step by step guide on how to do it:
- You need to consider exactly why you are formatting the hard drive. If you want to introduce a newer version of Windows for example, a hard drive format may not be necessary. Windows provides software to replace the OS without necessarily going to all the trouble of formatting. Just acquire the re-installation disks and there will be wizards to guide you on what to do. If it's a virus problem, get an antivirus or Trojan solution that will save you the trouble of formatting and re-installing data again.
- Ok, so it's not a newer version of windows that you want, and its not viruses you're getting rid of; you simply want a clean hard drive with no data on it. The first thing you must do is remember that formatting actually means cleaning everything off your hard disk. Once you're done formatting, the hard disk will contain NO data. If you want any of the data from that disk, make a back-up. Use a CD, a DVD, or any kind of external back-up mode that will make it easy to re-install the data. If you want all the data, back up the entire hard drive. Just make sure to get whatever you need out of the hard drive before you get started formatting.
- It's a manual process and does not require any pre-programmed software, but it's also rather simple. Once your computer is on and in windows mode, go to MY COMPUTER. Assuming that your disk already had several partitions (Drive C, Drive D etc), right click on the partition that you want to format. A menu will pop up that has a format option.
- Once you click on the format option a dialog box will appear that gives you several options. Select NTFS for Windows XP and later versions. For older versions, you'll see the option of FAT32. It will also ask you to enter a label for the disk you want formatted. Once you do this, select Quick Start and then Start. The formatting process has begun. Once complete, you'll have a drive that formatted and ready for new data to be installed.
Something important to note - if you buy a computer as is from a manufacturer, most of them come partitioned and formatted, but some do not. If you get one that is not, you cannot store any data. The good news is you can do it yourself - both the partitioning and the formatting. Please click here to learn how to partition your hard disk before you format it.

Recent research has shown that a natural plant extract, called yerba mate, is able to reduce or even keep obesity at bay. Yerba mate, an extract of a plant that grows in South America, was fed to obese lab mice. Adipose tissue or body fat reduced drastically in these mice. In addition to that, the cholesterol levels in the mice were reduced, and glucose levels were reduced as well.
The combination of these three things leads to reduced weight gain, - every dieters dream. The other key feature in yerba mate that’s helpful for many dieters is that it suppresses the urge to eat, so that the combination of eating less, reducing fat and lower glucose levels become just right for one to lose weight.
Zotrim is a natural remedy pill that is manufactured using the yerba mate extract as they key ingredient. Zotrim is designed to make the dieter feel full for longer thus eat less, slow down food processing so that the body does not need to keep taking in food, (a by-effect of this is that it slows stomach emptying). If the dieter is consistent in taking Zotrim, they will eventually have less body mass and slimmer waistlines.
Zotrim Ingredients and their composition and uses
Zotrim is made of three key ingredients:
- Yerba Mate (27.5% of each tablet) – which suppresses appetite, makes you eat less and helps to break fats down faster.
- Guarana (23.3% of each tablet) – This is a caffeine rich stimulant which contains about twice the amount of caffeine found in normal coffee beans. This is what causes you to feel fuller for longer and eat less.
- Damiana extract (9%) – This is a boost to the Zotrim tablet – it helps with the nervous, digestive and reproductive systems.
- Dicalcium phosphate, talc, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (in small traces).
Dosage
Recommended dosage is marked on the packaging, and make sure to read this before you embark on your slimming journey. The normal dosage is 2 tablets a few minutes before each meal – ideally half an hour to allow for absorption into the bloodstream. By the end of the day, you will have taken a total of six tablets.
You may be wondering for how long you should use it – use it until you reach your desired weight and you can continue to make sure that you keep your eating to a minimum and fat breakdown to a maximum.
Side Effects
Zotrim has no known or reported side effects. So far 8 clinical trials have not shown any adverse effects that may be experienced with other diet pills. The separate ingredients in zotrim can cause side effects, but when used in much higher doses than are used in the manufacture of Zotrim. Also, as Zotrim has caffeine, people who are highly sensitive to caffeine should avoid it.
Tests have not been done on pregnant of breastfeeding mothers, so it’s advisable for them not to use it.
As with any other weight loss regimen, it is advisable to get an ok from your doctor before you get started on the pills.
Is it a scam?
As mentioned, Zotrim has been put through 3 clinical trials and has passed the test every time. The results of these clinical trials have been published in famous medical journals, like the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics and The British Dietetic Association Journal.
Whenever it has been tested on people who need to lose weight, they have all lost an average of 10 pounds in the first 45 days. When they continued, they progressively kept on losing weight over a 12 month period.
Many users have given great testimonials about Zotrim as well. To see these testimonials, click here.
Money Back Guarantee
If you buy and use Zotrim and do not see a change within 30-45 days, please return the product and get a refund, no questions asked.
Recommendation
If you want to lose weight, lose it fast and keep it off, I would recommend Zotrim as the thing for you. We are yet to encounter a person who has consistently used it and it hasn’t worked!
